Orchard’s Reading and Language Art’s award-winning software includes over 8,500 activities, 2,800 skills, and 4,000 hours of instruction for grades Pre-K – 9.

Orchard caters to all students, from nonreaders to fluent readers. Emphasis is placed on phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary development, comprehension, and fluency. The skills within many of the programs progress through incremental stages, so teachers can be assured that students receive age-appropriate and developmentally sound instruction. Students can work at their own pace through the Orchard assignments, fostering self-sufficiency.

Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts

In accordance with the Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts, Orchard provides engaging and innovative ways to intermingle the use of technology and English Language Arts in prekindergarten through grade 12 classrooms, for Foundational Skills, Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening, and Language standards.
