Stevie Blakely’s school implemented instructional technology to develop research-based, targeted interventions for struggling and advanced students. All students’ progress is monitored throughout the year and those students that perform below average are assessed more frequently and provided additional assistance in the form of targeted instruction with Orchard. “We began using Orchard Software four years ago [for assessment, instruction, and progress monitoring],” said Blakely. “Since then we have received two exceptional school ratings from the State of Oregon and the National Title I Distinguished School from Oregon for the 2008 school year.”
